22 Best Bralettes for Every Cup Size
Upgrade your intimates drawer with stylish and comfy bralettes.
We most recently updated this article in January 2023 to ensure all products are in stock and reflect accurate pricing. Based on updated feedback, GH analysts added new picks from Calvin Klein, Free People, SKIMS and more.
A bralette is the perfect compromise when the idea of putting on a traditional bra is terrifying yet you don't want to go fully bra-less. More and more bralette styles are available than ever before with wire-free options that closely mimic underwire bras (without the poking and prodding, of course). And bralettes aren't just for small cup sizes: there are full-coverage bralettes for all sizes that are supportive and comfortable all day.
Whether you're lounging on the couch, going out to dinner or heading to the office, the Good Housekeeping Institute Textiles Lab found the best bralettes to buy for every occasion. GH analysts tested bralettes by sending them to multiple testers with a variety of cup sizes who provided feedback on comfort, support, fit, appearance and much more as well as testing washability and stretch recovery in the Lab. In addition to bralettes, GH analysts test all types of intimates, including shapewear, underwear and bras for large busts and small busts.
After analyzing data from over 150 testers and considering previous bra test winners, we found the best bralettes to buy in 2023. Whether you like lacy, sleek or sporty bralettes, these wireless, buttery-soft styles are so comfortable that you might even forget you’re wearing a bra.
Featuring a hook and eye closure in the back and wireless cups, this bra had the comfortable feel of a bralette with the support of an underwire bra. Although some testers wish it looked more like a bralette instead of a traditional bra, it received rave reviews for comfort, support and fit. One tester said "I LOVED this bra. I forgot I was wearing it, it was so comfortable." It has a wider band for a smooth look under clothes, easily replacing a classic T-Shirt bra.
Across the board, testers loved this Soma bralette for being comfy, soft and staying in place, with one tester saying it was "more supportive than expected from a wire-free bra." It's made from a brushed nylon and spandex blend for a smooth feel with removable pads for customizable coverage. There are no clasps or hardware at all for a seamless feel. As a full coverage bra, it may be visible under lower-cut tops and dresses. We love it's available in an impressive 15 shades, including nudes and bold colors alike.
The Wacoal bralette is popular among plus size women because it's smoothing with sizes fitting up to a 44-inch band size. With zoned compression nylon and spandex fabric and removable pads, testers loved how this bralette looked under clothes and felt comfy all day, but rated its appearance on its own lower.
Testers couldn't get enough of the buttery soft feel of this Commando bra, thanks to the modal and spandex blend fabric. Although it wasn't rated as supportive as a traditional underwire, testers said it was the ideal loungewear bra as it was one of the most comfortable bras they've tried. Pair with comfy sweatpants for the ultimate couch outfit.
Lace bralettes are a stylish look, but many leave you with no support. Testers loved that with this stretch lace Bali bralette, they could finally have the cute lace style with the support they needed. The adjustable straps can easily be converted to a racerback too. With a mesh panel in the front, it prevents spillage if you have larger breasts while still creating cleavage.
At just $5 per bra, these Hanes bralettes are an excellent value for soft cotton blend bras that keep you supported. Made with the brand's signature Comfortflex fabric, this bralette is designed to stretch and recover with you as your cup size fluctuates. Testers rave that this style is "the ideal basic bralette" and "extremely comfortable." However, one tester noted that this style "ran a bit hot."
Made from lace nylon, testers loved how comfy this lightly padded bralette was while being completely adaptable with adjustable straps, removable padding and a hook and eye closure back. With either an A or D cup size, testers loved that this bra didn't flatten them out and had added mesh to prevent spillage. Available in 11 shades, testers said this bralette was cute enough to peek out of tops and sweaters. The lace did show some signs of wear after extensive laundering.
Like the traditional Bra-Llelujah full coverage bra, it has an all-hosiery back to smooth lumps and bumps, looking great under clothes. Testers with small busts especially loved how this bra was flattering without flattening their busts while disappearing under clothes. Note that the straps are not adjustable.
