Labor Day lands on September 4 this year. It's a federal holiday that acknowledges all the incredible work that Americans do, day in and day out. It also just happens to be during one of the busiest times of the year — between end of summer cookouts to back-to-school shopping. You can also score some pretty incredible sales.

All this to say, it's nearly impossible not to make a Target run sometime during Labor Day weekend to either shop for school supplies, pick up some fall decor or just browse the aisles on your day off.

Yes, Target stores will be open all weekend long to take care of your last-minute shopping needs Most locations will operate with their regular hours of 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., though hours can vary by location. Stores that operate inside of Target, such as certain Starbucks locations and Target Optical, may also be functioning on a holiday schedule, so in some cases may be closed on Labor Day. As always, double check by calling ahead to ensure you have the correct store hours before you arrive. If you’re unsure where your nearest Target is located, be sure to check out the store's locator tool.
