Father’s Day is the one time of year, other than his birthday, where you get to spoil the number one man in your life with amazing gifts he claims he doesn’t need, a hearty breakfast in bed and your presence as you treat him to a day filled with his favorite activities. And even after all of that, we’re sure you’ll still want to get him a card that holds a meaningful Father’s Day message to let him know how grateful you are for all that he does throughout the year.

Though it can sometimes be hard to put all of those emotions into the perfect words, whether you’re hoping to celebrate your dear old dad, your husband, boyfriend, brother-in-law or a first Father's Day, we have just the phrases and sayings to keep you from drawing a blank.

And better yet, you can use them as inspiration, and then tailor your message to best fit your unique relationship. You can choose to keep it short and sweet with a moving quote, make it lighthearted and funny by including a joke or even get a little sappy with a sentimental note he’ll cherish forever.
