40 Fun 'Star Wars' Family Costumes for Jedi, Sith and Everyone In-Between
We've got ideas for lovers of The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi to classic characters like Princess Leia and Han Solo.

Like our own, the Star Wars universe just keeps expanding. In addition to the 12 movies, shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian are only taking us deeper and deeper into a galaxy far, far away. And while that's a boon for Star Wars fans, it's an even bigger advantage for those who love Halloween, because that just means more and more opportunities for Star Wars family Halloween costumes.
If you're looking to do a family costume or a group costume, Star Wars is perfect because there are so many heroes, villains, creatures and droids that everyone can pick their favorites, and there's a good chance there won't be too many overlaps. Plus, it's been around for so long that parents can dress as the beloved characters they remember from childhood, like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia or Han Solo, and their kids can pick from the newer favorites, like Baby Yoda, Rey, Finn or Poe. You can even find Star Wars-themed costumes for dogs and bring the family pooch into the act. Just remember the one rule: Always maintain balance in the Force.
Then, if you're looking to outfit more of your squadron who aren't necessarily Star Wars fans, we also have inspiration for costumes for babies, costumes for toddlers, costumes for big kids and Disney family costume ideas.
With Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+, we're learning new things about a different chapter in the Jedi's life, which might spark more interest in this costume. An adult version is coming soon.
Jedi Costumes

And if Obi-Wan Kenobi has taught us anything, it's that there's more Jedi than we previously realized, scattered along The Path around the galaxy. If your brood all wants to be matching Jedi, you can make these no-sew Jedi costumes.
Then again, your family might not be entirely interested in helping the Jedi. If hunting them seems like better fun, then this Inquisitor outfit is a perfect match. An adult inquisitor costume has a different mask.
Princess Leia Costume

The Obi-Wan series is also a Princess Leia story, which may drum up interest in those side buns once again. Leia costumes always make a statement, even if they seem like they could be simple white dresses. If you don't DIY, you can buy this in adult sizes or kid sizes.

Every time you think you're done with Darth Vader, he pops up again, as Obi-Wan Kenobi can attest. That means it's time to take another spin in the Vader suit. And for mini menaces, there are kids' Vader costumes, too.

HalloweenCostumes.com Imperial Officer Costume
This isn't exactly a Tala Durith costume, but if you've seen Obi-Wan Kenobi, it's pretty much the uniform she wears when she goes undercover. You have to perfect your own sneer, though, or your cover will be blown.
HalloweenCostumes.com LEGO Stormtrooper Costume

HalloweenCostumes.com LEGO Stormtrooper Costume
Kids love LEGO. Kids love Star Wars. How can they choose between them? With this costume, they don't have to decide! They can get blocky, LEGO Star Wars version of a Stormtrooper costume, a Darth Vader costume or a Yoda costume that come with a tunic, pants, a mask and hand covers.
Who wouldn't want to be the daimyo of Mos Espa? If you can't spend Halloween in a bacta tank, slip on this costume and demand candy from everyone in your territory. You can also get Boba Fett costumes in men's and kids' sizes.
Star Wars Family Costume

The great thing about Star Wars is that there are enough characters to have everyone in your family dress as their favorite, spanning different decades and eras, and you probably won't have to repeat characters.
HalloweenCostumes.com Grogu Costume

HalloweenCostumes.com Grogu Costume
Whether you call him Grogu, The Child or "Baby Yoda," you better give him candy or he'll wind up stealing your eggs! Grogu is an even cuter idea for an infant costume, and this infant Baby Yoda bodysuit is sure to elicit awwws.
And what's a cuter parent-and-child matching costume combo than a Baby Yoda and a Mando? This comes in kid sizes, too, if a sibling match is more of what you're looking for.
And little Grogu would certainly be in a bind without Ahsoka Tano, so add her to the group as well. She's going to be played by Rosario Dawson in an upcoming show, so you'll be ahead of the curve. This costume comes with the headpiece and arm bands, but the dress is up to you.
Rose Tico Costume

This costume, three buns and you're off of the dusty planet of Jakku and on to greater adventures. This one is also hugely popular with kids, and comes in kids' sizes. (Can you say Mommy & Me?)
And where Rey goes, so goes BB-8. This inflatable child's costume has a window to look through, but if you think your kid won't be able to manage in the big costume, there' s also a more manageable, not-inflated kid costume, as well as a kid's dress and a women's dress.
Sure, you could dress up as a Storm Trooper, but you'll look way cooler (and more comfortable, probably) dressed up as former Storm Trooper, Finn. There's an adult version for this one, too.
If you want charismatic cool, but are over the Han Solo thing, try fly-guy Poe Dameron. Kids can dress as Poe wearing the same look, or they can dress as Poe in his orange flight suit.
It's easy to see why fans are drawn to Kylo Ren. He's as dark and conflicted as Darth Vader, only he doesn't have to keep his helmet on all the time, so you can see there's really a human in there. Dark side fans should go with this costume, which also comes in adult sizes.
The Anakin and Padme Meme

This meme format has been blasted around the internet faster than Han Solo could do the Kessel Run — and it's pretty easy to re-create for a perfect couple's costume. The Anakin costume is widely available. Amidala's look is trickier: Exact re-creations of her dress are out there, but pricey, so you might be better off DIYing with the starting point of a yellow dress with flowers. Then, there's the headband, which you can buy, or make yourself with a headband and bun covers. Bonus points if you carry around whiteboards so others can meme-ify you.
